This guide describes 31 walks that range from 0.5 to 2.5 hours in length in the southern half of Tasmania. Walks range from Bicheno on the east coast, Maria Island, across to Hobart and south to Bruny Island and Cockle Creek and west across the Lyell Highway to Strahan. Most of the walks are easy but display the full range of Tasmania scenery. There are walks to waterfalls, along sandy beaches, to wave swept islands, coastal cliffs, alpine lakes, lookouts and a wide variety of forest. This is a companion guide to Short Walks Northern Tasmania  along with our book with longer day walks Day Walks Tasmania

It contains 96 pages, 65 colour photos, 31 topographic maps, ISBN 978 1 920995 18 8, 1st edition 2019, recommended retail is $24.95
